AssociatesRob SmithFilm Festivals are where Rob Smith reached his pedigree in the film industry. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Rob has always had a passion for film. While holding numerous positions at such festivals as Sundance, Outfest, AFI Fest, and CineVegas, Rob learned the hardships that many independent filmmakers face when trying to obtain distribution and or licensing agreements. Connecting with Ostrow and Company allowed Rob to marry his experience with festivals and his insight into filmmakers needs. While festivals are a great place to showcase a film, it's the seasoned producer’s rep that gets executives to the negotiating table, ultimately achieving a broader audience outside of the festival circuit. Wanting to be involved in putting filmmakers on the map, aligning with Page Ostrow was a perfect opportunity to achieving this goal. Now Rob is in a place where there is a shared common goal, to truly represent the filmmaker. Rob also coordinates details on behalf of the many speaking engagements at Sundance, Toronto, Cannes, SXSW and a variety of smaller festivals where Page Ostrow is an invited guest speaker on panels.
